Rihanna Is a ‘Big Fat Zero as a Role Model,’ According to Tina Brown
View Profile- RSS
Daily Beast editor Tina Brown ripped into RiRi on Twitter today, calling the singer a “big fat zero” for standing by Chris Brown in court.
The editor-in-chief of The Daily Beast slammed RiRi via Twitter for the stand-by-your-assailant moment, calling the pop diva”a big fat zero as a role model for girls.”
The “Diamonds” singer, 24, sat front row in court on Wednesday next to Brown’s mom as the judge decided whether her not her on-again boyfriend completed the community service he was sentenced to after brutally assaulting her on the eve of the Grammy Awards in 2009.
Prosecutors have asked that Brown repeat the 180 days, even though he claimed he fulfilled the full sentence.
What I like best about this story is that Chris Brown and Tina Brown have the same last name, so it makes it sounds like Tina Brown’s mom was at Chris’s court date for some reason, and Tina’s just jealous because Rihanna is the cool, fun daughter Tina Brown’s mom never had. Well, MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE GONE TO SEE THE FIRST WIVES CLUB WITH YOUR MOM WHEN SHE ASKED YOU TO INSTEAD OF GOING ROLLER BLADING WITH THOSE BURN-OUTS, TINA BROWN. [NYDN]
Country singer and one-woman Greek tragedy Mindy McCready has been entered into court-ordered rehab following the removal of her children and the presumed suicide of her boyfriend.
In an emergency hearing on Wednesday, a judge ordered McCready to be committed to a treatment facility to cope with mental health and alcohol issues. During the hearing, McCready, 37, admitted to drinking too much alcohol, blaming her overindulgence on her grief at Wilson’s death.
…”As you can imagine, the tragedy of David Wilson’s death has been devastating and crippling to Mindy and her entire family. We can confirm Mindy was admitted to an in-patient facility yesterday,” McCready’s rep tells PEOPLE.
“While taking appropriate and much needed time to grieve, her sons have been placed in foster homes where they are comfortable and cared for. We have no further statement at this time. Thank you for your patience, understanding and sensitivity.”

Okay, remember that weird thing where Alicia Keys became the “creative director” of Blackberry the other week? And everyone was like, “Ah, yes. Normal.” Well, now apparently Justin Timberlake is the “creative director” of Bud Light Platinum. Are we not paying the celebrities enough? Is that what’s going on? They have to pretend to have regular-person side-jobs?
Justin Timberlake is apparently the new face of Bud Light Platinum, the fancy, “nighttime party drinker” (their words) brand of Bud. Explained the sometimes singer and MySpace investor: “Bud Light Platinum brings a refined, discerning aesthetic to beer that plays well with what I’m doing.”

Chris Brown Not a Fan of His Fat Fans
Musician/PR disaster/walking cautionary tale Chris Brown took to Instagram to let another glowing aspect of his personality shine: Turns out he hates his fat fans! Because a body-accepting Chris Brown wouldn’t be the Chris Brown we know and love.
Just weeks after the Twitter war with comedian Jenny Johnson that prompted the “Turn Up The Music” singer to quit the social network (for almost a week!), Chris was back voicing his insightful opinions on Instagram. After a few of his fans remarked that they thought Brown looked “too skinny” as of late, Chris brushed up on his Shakespeare and replied in a quite eloquent manner:
The funniest sh– is the comments on me being too skinny! Half of y’all b—–s are super obese and fat as f—! I dance and workout constantly! It’s called being healthy. Some need stop running their mouth and get that fat a– on a treadmill. I can hear u wheezing on my comments.
It’s no wonder Rihanna can’t let this one go! Between his neck tattoo, his creative Halloween costume ideas and his penchant to get into night club fights, Chris Brown really is a catch.

Rihanna’s dad called her fat, praises ‘nice’-guy Chris Brown

Rihanna’s father, Ronald Fenty, has nothing but praise for Chris Brown.
If you’ve ever wondered why Rihanna’s had a rocky relationship with her father over the years, a new interview with her dad might offer a couple of clues about his parenting approach.
In the upcoming issue of Heat magazine, Ronald Fenty, aka Rihanna’s sometimes-estranged father, explained how he feels about Chris Brown three years after the singer assaulted his daughter.
”Chris is a nice guy, and everybody’s entitled to make mistakes in their life,” Fenty said in an excerpt from the interview published to the New York Post. “God knows how many I’ve made.”
According to Rihanna, some of Fenty’s past mistakes involved domestic violence against her mother, which could explain his forgiving nature toward Brown. As for Rihanna’s forgiving nature toward Brown, evidenced by their recent musical reunion, dad thinks that’s just fine, too.
He told Heat, “She’s her own woman now.”
And at one point, just few months ago, Fenty found himself worrying about just how much of a woman she was.
“I actually thought she was a little fat the last time I saw her,” the not-so-sensitive father said.
But if Rihanna worries about what Fenty thinks of looks now (and really, here’s hoping she doesn’t), she can rest assured that he approved of what he saw on the Grammys telecast.
“When I saw her at this year’s Grammys, I thought she was back to her normal size,” Fenty stated. “I used to joke with her, ‘Robyn, you’re getting too fat.’ But I think she’s fine. I think she looked excellent, as everyone saw, at the Grammys. She’s dieting; she’s working out.”
And she’s probably happy not hear any more of those “too fat” jokes dad so fondly recalls.

Sydney Lace’s BET Hip-Hop Awards Predictions – Will 50 Cent And Fat Joe …

Tonight, the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards will be taped at the Atlantic Civic Center, and I decided to add my two cents in on the topic. I present you, my loyal rumor followers, with my Top 5 Predictions for the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards.
Prediction #1: 50 Cent and Fat Joe will end their long standing feud onstage at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards. I predict that the two rappers will shake hands, hug, and kiss on the cheek (think 50 and Game) during a special tribute for their late manager, Chris Lighty.
Prediction #2 – With 17 nominations, there is no way Yeezy is going to pass on attending the awards, right?! We definitely expect to see him in all of his glory. Well, that is unless Kim Kardashian has another reality or QVC show taping.
I predict that Yeezy will win at least 10 awards and will give an epic acceptance speech for each win. “I wanna thank BET, but the MTV VMAs are the best award show of all time!”
Prediction # 3 – Although the show is not scheduled to air until next Tuesday, October 9 at 8/7c, I predict that the taping of the show will take up at least half of the trending topics on Twitter tonight. Expect Twitter and Instagram to be filled with celebrity photos backstage, rumors of awkward run in’s – think Chris Brown and Drake at the VMAs part II.

Prediction #4 - Rick Ross, Meek Mill, 2 Chainz, and Wiz Khalifa are all slated to hit the stage tonight. I predict Rick Ross will finally put a shirt, Meek Mill will have half of Philly on stage with him, 2 Chainz’s outfit will cost more than BET’s stage show, and Wiz Khaifa will give Amber Rose a live sonogram onstage!
Prediction #5: Mike Epps will stutter more times than the amount of Rihanna audience shots at the VMAs. Expect Epps to be funnier than Kevin Hart hosting the VMAs and a lot less PG.
But of course, I can not forget about the most popular part of the awards show – the cyphers! This year’s cypher participants representing the East Coast, West Coast, and Down South include: DMX, Snoop Dogg, and T.I., Eve, A$AP Rocky, Cassidy, Mystikal, Talib Kweli, B.O.B., and more. Make sure you check out “Cypher Replay,” an exclusive behind the scenes, two-part special airing at 8PM on BET on October 1 and 2.
Below is the full list of categories and nominations. Leave a comment with your own predictions below!

Chart Juice: Fat Joe Returns to R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Top 10
Fat Joe nabs his fourth career top 10 on Billboard’s RB/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as “Another Round,” featuring Chris Brown, rises to No. 8 from No. 11. The song becomes the Bronx Bomber’s first top 10 since “Make It Rain” made a splash (No. 6 peak) in 2007.
Five years later and no longer a part of Atlantic Records, Koch/eOne or Capitol, the Terror Squad leader will independently release an album yet to be named in the latter part of 2012. “Another Round” is the first official single from the forthcoming set. Fat Joe’s history on RB/Hip-Hop songs dates to 1993.
Brown gets a prize, as well, as “Another Round” becomes his 22nd top 10 and ties him with Luther Vandross for the third-most top 10s among male singers in the Nielsen data era (since December 1992). Only R. Kelly (35) and Usher (24) are ahead.
Beyoncé remains the topper on RB/Hip-Hop Songs, as “Love on Top” leads for a seventh week, despite sinking in audience by 13% to 30 million, according to Nielsen BDS. Usher’s “Climax” is quickly closing in, however, rising 3-2 (29 million, up 14%) in just its eighth chart week. He still wins this week: the sex symbol earns his 12th No. 1 on the Mainstream RB/Hip-Hop airplay chart with the track (2-1). The move pushes Usher past R. Kelly (11) as the singer with the most No. 1s on the radio-based ranking. He ranks second among all acts, tied with rapper Drake; Lil Wayne leads with 14 No. 1s.
Back to RB/Hip-Hop Songs: The other fast-rising top 10, Rihanna’s “Birthday Cake, featuring Chris Brown. shifts 4-3 in its eighth week with a 5% increase to 26 million in audience.
Drake’s “The Motto,” featuring Lil Wayne, slips 2-4, while LoveRance’s little song that could, “UP!” is still building, advancing 7-5 in its 31st week (23 million, up 19%). Brown’s “Strip,” featuring Kevin K-MAC McCall, drifts down 5-6, while late bloomer Kirko Bangz’s “Drank in My Cup” follows in LoveRance’s veteran footsteps, climbing 9-7 in its 34th week (20 million, up 10%).
Rounding out the top tier below Fat Joe’s new top 10, Trey Songz stumbles 8-9 with “Sex Ain’t Better Than Love,” although, like Usher, he catches a break somewhere else. The crooner grabs the chart’s Greatest Gainer/Airplay award as “Heart Attack,” the first official track from his forthcoming set “Chapter 5,” bounces 51-25. The song posts an 80% increase to 9 million in audience. In its 27th week, Wale’s “Lotus Flower Bomb,” featuring Miguel, falls 6-10. Now at the edge of the top 10, the pair needs to avoid a dunk like the 18% downturn it suffers this week in order to avoid ejection from the upper realm next week.
‘PINK’ POWER: On RB/Hip-Hop Albums, rap’s self-proclaimed Nicki Minaj re-ups her bag of tricks with the release of “Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded,” which debuts at No. 1 with 250,000 sold, according to Nielsen SoundScan. As previously reported, it also starts atop the Billboard 200.
“Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” is Minaj’s first set to debut at No. 1 on RB/Hip-Hop Albums. Her debut album “Pink Friday” started out at No. 2 on the Dec. 11, 2010, chart, although it sold more than her sophomore set in its first week (375,000.) Her debut album missed the top spot due to Kanye West’s “Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy,” which soared 59-1 in its second week, until logging the first of its six weeks in charge beginning Jan. 22, 2011.
“Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded” is interpreted by Minaj’s alter-ego, a flamboyant man named Roman. The album’s charted singles so far on RB/Hip-Hop Songs include “Stupid Hoe,” “Roman Reloaded” (featuring Weezy,) “Right By My Side” (featuring Brown) and “Beez in the Trap” (featuring 2 Chainz).
Nos. 2, 3 and 4 remain intact on RB/Hip-Hop Albums: Drake’s “Take Care” (17,000, up 9%), Rihanna’s “Talk That Talk” (14,000, down 6%) and Tyga’s “Careless World: Rise of the Last King” (12,000, down 5%).
Melanie Fiona’s “The MF Life” slips from the top spot, where it rose to from No. 2 last week, to No. 5 in its third week (11,000, down 33%). Although this is a significant dip, the set is faring positionally better than her 2009 debut album “The Bridge,” which was at No. 10 in its third week after debuting at its No. 4 peak.
